By placing an advertising banner on GUITARFOUNDATION.ORG you are encouraging visitors to your site in a cost-effective way. You are also getting name recognition alongside GFA. You may then provide information and services to visitors. GFA offers rotating ad banners throughout this website, delivering advertising to a high valued, highly targeted guitar related audience.

Our new system randomly displays ads with near equal frequency, with approximately 3 or 4 ads appearing on any one given page at a time. A click on your banner provides our viewers with a direct link to your products and services, or company web-site, while also providing brand or service name attention.

How to add a banner

If you are interested in placing your ad banner on the GFA site please read this page and complete the form on the banner submission page. Be sure you have a banner ready to submit at the time you fill out the form. You will then be added to the rotation as soon as your banner is approved. Please allow up to 1 week after submittal for approval before contacting GFA.

After your banner has been approved, you will receive an email requesting payment. You may then choose to pay online via Credit Card or through PayPal -or- to remit payment by mail.

When we receive your payment we will send you an email invoice for your records.

Guitar Foundation of America's web site averages from 200,000 - 270,000 page hits per month (8,000 unique visitors). These figures increase in November and October because of our annual convention.

Payment, Billing and Pricing

We have simplified our banner program and are now charging a flat $50/month fee for your banner to appear in rotation on all pages of the GFA site. This will make advertising that much easier for you and for us. All ad banners will appear equally in rotation.

Your payment for the month must be received during the month of banner viewing. If your banner is added on the 1st your payment must be received by the 30th or your banner may be removed from rotation. All ads are renewable in 3, 6, or 12 month increments.

If at any point you would like your banner removed you MUST send us an email stating that you no longer wish to have your banner appear on the GFA web site.

Banner Specifications

To maintain a consistent site design and encourage fast page loads, we require all banner ads meet the following specifications:

• Banners must be .gif or .jpg files.
• File sizes must be kept below 20k.
• No Animated gif banners.
• Banner size must be 110 (w) x 220 (h) pixels.
• GFA reserves the right to reject advertisements considered unacceptable as to wording, appearance, or for any other reason.

Rate Adjustments

GFA reserves the right to make necessary rate adjustments in its advertising schedule.

• All rate changes will apply to the month following the rate adjustments.
• All rate changes will not apply to pre-paid ads (pre-payment is limited to a maximum of two (2) months in advance).

Restrictions

GFA reserves the right to refuse any Banner Ad request, or to cancel the Banner Ad that does not fulfill the obligations set in the contract. GFA does not accept Banner Ad requests from organizations selling products or services related to pornography or that is obscene.

Acceptance of Advertising Policy

Advertising is accepted and published entirely on the consideration that the advertiser and/or agency will indemnify and save GFA harmless from and against any claims or suits based upon any aspect of subject matter of the advertisement. GFA reserves the right to reject advertisements considered unacceptable as to wording, appearance, or for any other reason.
